Noémie Keren trained in calligraphy by exploring the traditional tools of master penmen of past centuries. Bird feather & metallic nibs are her instruments of predilection. It is through the use of feathers that she manages to create upstrokes and downstrokes, characteristic elements of beautiful letters.
A DANCE that leaves
Traces
Calligraphy, like a dance, requires the mastery of gestures to gradually be able to improvise long choreographies. This ballet has the particularity of leaving the imprint of this dance on the paper. This is where all the magic & poetry of calligraphy resides: leaving the mark of a long repeated & perfectly rhythmic gesture.

Noémie Keren realizes all calligraphic orders: invitations, addresses of handwritten envelopes, place cards for receptions but also monograms, calligraphic texts, or even family trees & certificates.

After graduating from the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Bordeaux, Noémie Keren decided to open her calligraphy workshop in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards, in Gensac, her native village. Located 15 minutes from Saint-Emilion, nestled in the Durèze valley, her workshop allows her to live with the birds. What greater evidence for a calligrapher?
